Bunker Renovations Complete, Local Sand Now Classified As “Emotionally Challenging”
After extensive bunker renovations, Aevus Golf Club is proud to announce that the sand is now officially the best in the area and also the most personal. Early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with members praising the consistency, colour, and the way it humbles you immediately after you’ve hit a good drive. “It’s premium sand” said one golfer, “You can tell because it makes you think about your life choices.”
The club invested in improving drainage, edging, and presentation, meaning bunkers now look so good that players feel guilty leaving them. This guilt lasts until the second attempt to get out, at which point it is replaced by bargaining, silence, and a strange urge to blame the rake.
Staff report that raking standards have improved dramatically, mainly because members have started spending more time in bunkers and want them comfortable. The club has also introduced an unofficial new competition: “Closest To The Fairway” where the winner is the person who escapes in one shot with dignity intact. A spokesperson confirmed the bunkers are not “harder” they are simply “more honest,” a statement that has angered several golfers who insist the sand is “against them personally.”
